Openbox Review on Plustek SmartOffice PL4080, a “Bits & Chips Recommended” Office Document Scanner

People have been talking about “Paper Free” for long time, but still paper never goes away completely.  In particular, we have various type of paper (e.g., letters, contracts, wire transfer receipt, courier bill, newspaper clipping, HR forms, …) to scan in our day-to-day office work, so that we can share the electronic files with others (and decrease the distribution of paper copies) and/or archive digitally for future use.

Plustek SmartOffice PS3060U Receiving “Highly Recommended” Badge And “Outstanding A4 Mid-Size Workgroup Scanner” Pick Award from from Buyers Lab

“… the Plustek SmartOffice PS3060U comes with a 50-sheet document feeder that can handle a wider than average range of paper sizes, including long documents up to 200”, ……. Plus, its smaller than average footprint makes it ideal for front office use. These features are just a few of the examples that facilitated its Summer 2016 BLI Pick win.” – by Joe Ellerman, Manager of Lab Operations

Open Box Review on “Photography Blog Recommended” Awarded Film Scanner: OpticFilm 8100

“For its price, the Plustek OpticFilm 8100 is a very capable desktop film scanner. 3600ppi scans are sharp and detailed, printing well up to A3 size (depending on the quality of the originals, of course). … the Multi-Exposure feature does help you eek out a bit of extra detail from your most contrasty slides. … the OpticFilm 8100 is not the ideal tool for archiving truly large film collections but if you only need to digitise a moderate amount of slides and negatives, we have no reservations recommending it to you.”
