I am scanning the archives of a professional photographer with this scanner and I am very pleased with it. The build of the OpticFilm 120 is excellent, and it comes with every format film holder you would ever need. I am very pleased with this versatile unit.
The scan quality is great, the colours look exactly as they should be (colour tends to be off on most scanners I’ve used, this one picks it up perfectly)! It scans really quickly too, takes just a bit longer for anything 1200 dpi+.
I found this Plustek ePhoto z300 scanner to be easy and quick to use. I was amazed at how I buzzed through my photos. Very satisfied. I also scanned some photos that were on cardboard and some old Polaroids and then went right through!
I am using this scanner to scan 12×12 traditional scrapbook pages to recreate digital/printed copies. I used the highest resolution setting and the quality is incredible. I’m looking forward to using this scanner for many years to come for a lot of different projects.
I have been using the Z300 for about two weeks and, so far, it has worked extremely well. I am impressed by the speed of scanning, for the majority of my old photographs, it is more than adequate. The Z300 will have a dramatic impact on the speed of my archiving thousands of old photographs.
I was really happy to discover a high quality 120 scanner after so many manufacturers left the market. Very high quality optics, light source, carriers and overall build. The included Silverfast Ai full version is what makes this thing scream.
I have used the Plustek OpticFilm 120 for color negative, mounted slides and B&W in 35mm, 645 and 6×7 formats. The image quality at its highest resolution (5300 dpi) is superior. Scan speeds are considerably faster. The film holders are very well constructed.
