I’ve only have had this scanner few days. But I absolutely love it. It’s compact but it does job! I’m so happy that can finally organize all my papers in my house. It so worth to pay to have this little guy.
I absolutely love this scanner. I have been working to diminish my stuffed file drawers by throwing away what I don’t need and scanning what I want to keep. If you compare the prices of large-format scanners, this is an unbelievable bargain. Most importantly, this scanner creates clear, high-quality scans.
I’m an artist and work on 11 x 17″ paper so the size is perfect. It works like a dream. I’m on a brand new iMac 5k, latest software. I use this scanner with the Apple image capture- a quick fit in PS or image capture adjustment works great. Great scanner for the price.
Working with scanners on Linux desktops is made easier with scanning tools such as XSane, Simple Scan and Gscan2pdf to many Linux users. However, the staff at the Ministry of the Interior in Uruguay still find it painful to scan with these popular tools.
This is a wonderful little scanner that replaced my huge printer/scanner/copier. Once you get the knack of using the software interface, it’s literally one button and 15 seconds to scan in a doc. At a standard 300 dpi for document (e.g., PDF) scanning it’s faster than my old scanner. And I love that it doesn’t need an external power source.
This thin scanner takes up little space and installed quickly on the first pass. I run Windows 7 and it recognized the driver right away. To be honest, this was the fastest and least complicated installation I have ever had for a new piece of hardware. I would recommend this to a friend in a heartbeat, and already have.
I have scanned well over a thousand photos and it works perfectly. It straightens the ones I fed in a bit crooked, it is fast and produces a very good picture. This model is a great tool for cleaning out those shoeboxes of photos. I like the auto feed method too.
