Photographer Olli Thomson has recently bought a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE 35mm film scanner as part of his ongoing dive into film photography. Scanning is a critical part of his hybrid analogue-digital workflow in getting the negative into a viewable and printable form. He bought the scanner so that he can produce higher quality scans, have more control over the outcome, and save money in the long run. He wrote the scanner review at the Emulsive website and gave practical in-depth advice.
Expert Dave Mitchell at IT Pro has published a review of SmartOffice PL4080 workgroup document scanner and gave it “IT Pro Recommened” award.
People have been talking about “Paper Free” for long time, but still paper never goes away completely. In particular, we have various type of paper (e.g., letters, contracts, wire transfer receipt, courier bill, newspaper clipping, HR forms, …) to scan in our day-to-day office work, so that we can share the electronic files with others (and decrease the distribution of paper copies) and/or archive digitally for future use.
“… the Plustek SmartOffice PS3060U comes with a 50-sheet document feeder that can handle a wider than average range of paper sizes, including long documents up to 200”, ……. Plus, its smaller than average footprint makes it ideal for front office use. These features are just a few of the examples that facilitated its Summer 2016 BLI Pick win.” – by Joe Ellerman, Manager of Lab Operations
