I bought this scanner a couple of years ago and should have reviewed sooner. I use on a Mac. I’m a professional illustrator, and use it to scan in my drawings and watercolour paintings. I couldn’t afford to by a big name brand A3 scanner, so opted for this Plustek one as a budget version and it fits my needs perfectly.
The scan quality is great, the colours look exactly as they should be (colour tends to be off on most scanners I’ve used, this one picks it up perfectly)! It scans really quickly too, takes just a bit longer for anything 1200 dpi+.
I am using this scanner to scan 12×12 traditional scrapbook pages to recreate digital/printed copies. I used the highest resolution setting and the quality is incredible. I’m looking forward to using this scanner for many years to come for a lot of different projects.
This PLUSTEK OpticPro A320 scanner is a great value. The speed that it scans is a pleasant surprise; and the fact that it has such a large scanning area is terrific! The quality is superb; and I was hesitant at first. But I am glad I bought the product; and it is a great value.
It took me quite a while to find a Large Format Flatbed Scanner! That is, until I bought the OpticPro A320! You won’t be disappointed! It does everything you’ll want in a large flatbed scanner. Large 12″x 18″ scans, and it does have 1600 dpi hardware based capabilities!
I purchased this scanner to be able to convert my 12 inch x 12 inch scrapbooks into digital files. It is perfectly suited to the task. I researched scanners for this purpose, and most that will accommodate that size original are much more expensive. The quality of the scans is excellent.
I bought this to scan ancient family photos, many of which tend to be too large to fit A4 scanners. It installed easily on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I’m impressed by the quality, and the depth of field; several photos are behind 3mm of glass which I don’t want to disturb, and these scan very well.
